not likely. when v/p was the official fuel , you still had options in the sportsman ranks. and it's totally ridiculous that comp is the only sportsman class stuck with the sr18. I understand the pro classes, just like they are forced to run goodyears, but all sportsman classes can choose...

what brand of steel rods are you guys with the small ci. chevy's I have given this some thought in the past , so that we could tighten up the deck clearance a little as well as not having to be worried about how many runs the aluminum rods have on them.

same situation. last year I made a 130 passes with no issues, this past season only made 72 passes. so I think i'll leave her together for a while longer. I figured 150 passes was safe. just wanted to see what other were getting. thanks. rich.

just wanted some feedback on how may runs some of you are going on your rods. I didn't make as many runs this season as usual. and was thinking I would leave the motor together a while longer. rods are grp pro material with the bolt upgrade 2.950 stroke. sbc

on my 323ci ss/modified sb-2 the maximal was 6hp down across the board from c-25. hopefully they will come up with something comparable to c-25

yes their 40 spline axles are the same angle, the only difference is certain spools have different spline locations. inboard, outboard, and thru splined. so the length of the axles can vary.

all 3 of the 40 splines you mentioned are the same. but the locations vary. looks like it's an inboard spline style spool. vs. an outboard or, thru splined style that m/w and strange make. so just the length of the axles matters.

doesn't really sound like a comp elim. combo. most classes are based on pounds per cube. so they are pretty much max effort engine combos. a conventional headed bbc wouldn't be very competitive even if you could find a class for it. most classes are tube chassis cars, except for the super mods...

i'm suprised that moroso was that way. they have a custom dept. that will make just about anything. try contacting Scott Hall @ moroso. he is one of their drag race support reps as well as a good tech guy. he will help.
