A vote count collected by NHRA in Vegas?

From what I've been informed by a reliable source is that everyone will get a tenth back and there will be personal indexes. Perhaps someone can confirm this.

rush hour? how not to increase car counts!

Two hours is very generous. See, if we could run the whole damned race at that pace or faster, then you could do a national event in two days. Qualify on Saturday, and run eliminations on Sunday. In my opinion that would actually get more people to the track. Make a run and less than two...

A vote count collected by NHRA in Vegas?

From what I was informed by NHRA, final decisions will be made later this week in Pomona on what they plan to do to help current competitors and to get some others back racing. Whether an announcement will be made was never disclosed - just the fact that final decisions will be made.

A vote count collected by NHRA in Vegas?

I'm happy you found something you like better. :D Otherwise, what are you proposing? Do you suggest NHRA do with Comp what that venue is doing? What aspects of their program do we apply to the Comp program to help it now rather than later? Comp racers are deep in this deal with what they...

A vote count collected by NHRA in Vegas?

Typically, the potential of any class can be measured by the amount and/or frequency in which its index gets hit. In other words, the harder indexes get hit a lot less than the softer ones. With Shaun's 50% plan, the softer indexes - those that get hit the most - can potentially get tons more...

A vote count collected by NHRA in Vegas?

While I'm not going to agree or disagree with personal indexes, I will note that my thinking on the personal index deal is you not only give the driver a personal index for a class that he/she hits the index in, but also the chassis SFI serial number for the chassis that hit the index - can't...

A vote count collected by NHRA in Vegas?

From what I'm told, this past weekend at the Vegas nationals, NHRA - being interested in increasing Comp participation - collected votes regarding giving everyone index back at the end of the year. The vote was based on whether they should give back either a tenth or fifteen hundredths across...

    new fuel injection pro stock

Here's a fact involving Holley EFI and closed loop fuel correction: Recently a nitrous pro mod car was testing Holley EFI for the first time after converting from carburetors. The nitrous system was converted to a dry configuration. The first pass the closed loop correction was set to 100%...

Holley gets the job for Pro Stock.

With comments floating around like "They need to do something, I don't know what, though," coming from long time pro stock racers you'd think the fact that NHRA actually made a decision everyone would be somewhat grateful. But no, instead, after a decision was finally made it's some kind of big...

The New Guy, Part 3: Pro Stock Pete.

NHRA just released the news on what it will do with pro stock. It appears that Chris McGaha's inside scoop was spot on. Then came other things. The new guy is a hard charger so far. http://dragracecentral.com/DRCStory.asp?ID=302490&NewHash=NHRA-SUMMIT#indextop

    Doing away with pro stock?

Tom and Mark, these suggestions or ideas about a rev limit and lift limit are coming from those in your arena, not me. So it appears some of the pro stock guys have mixed opinions. For instance, Larry Morgan suggested a rev limit AND a lift limit. Okay, and you guys have your reasons against...
