...Dude, you totally rock. Do you realise what you have accomplished here this weekend?
...You have singlehandedly whipped the strongest field of comp cars ever assembled at one event in history.
...You didn't just qualify first, you punished the field, with an ass whoopin that hasn't occured yet in my following of drag racing in competition eliminator.
...I checked to see where my favorite guys are, and they are running good, but, in 17'th qualifying position at .614 under in c/d and that would win at most any event, lmao.
...Lee, you have my utmost respect, and I wish you all the luck in the world, for your phenominal qualifying effort. I am pulling for you, unless you meet up with my local guy from Greenwell Springs, La.
...May the force be with you, may your reaction times be in the o's, may your equipment not break, and god be riding with you each pass.
...there can be only one at the end/Highlander, I hope you are the one, you totally deserve to win this race.

I'm sure there will be those that say the Pro Mod and Turbo classes are soft, regardless of that 77 under is still one hell of a pass. Enjoy it #1 is a spot few of us get to accomplish.
 
Autos and converters are legal in Pro Mod now. So are auto shifters. I think it's stupid,lets just take the driver out of the car...

I was just being sarcastic. Most of the pro mod guys think converters dont belong in the class. Seems to be the going trend now in ADRL pro extreme though. These guys dont have to figure out a clutch any more, just tune in their traction control and pick the right converter and its 3.60's all day!

Traction control don`t belong in comp.I am not sure it is even legal in any class in comp ..
 
First let me say i am not Lee Adkins .I don,t have a dog in this Conversation.I have been around all sorts of racing since 1962.
Drag racing is my one true love besides my wife.
COMP 670--if you think it is so stupid just build one with an auto &a
converter&try it out

You all please give the guy a little slack. This was his first race in comp. elim.Not too bad, set the national record ,got quicker in elim.
The red lite bit him in the 2 nd rd. And believe you me there is some left in the car. A/PM IS A HARD CLASS TO RUN IN COMP.He is a true blue pro mod racer-- 1/8 mile. just think you all probably will not see him again in comp. Hell all he wanted to do was stop &test on his way to adrl-baytown next weekend. I hope i didn,t pee in anyones corn flakes by coming on this site & airing out my opinion on the matter. In closing whoever thinks a pro mod is to easy--just build one& come on over to adrl. The waters fine. just an opinion

I don`t belive he wanted to just stop and test . Who did he think we was, we did`nt just start racing last week.He got beat on 60 ft even with lane choice with a car with a 12 in tire .That class was bougas and don`t belong in comp he had to go 80 under to beat a 330 inch motor C/D car . Comp may not be the class for you P/M guys . We did`nt bust you guys ass but knew after first round somebody else would . It is like I said I don`t care what lane you pick we will take the one you don`t want . I don`t like the games we come to race.

I am gonna say this. if you think it is so easy build one & come over to adrl.
This is the last post for me on this subj. All i can say is chek his 60/ times to yours horse. it isn,t worth the attacks by you. have a good nite

If he wanted to test why didnt he run top sportsman?

And those records? You can rave all you want about the screw blown cars being quick with converters. Because the nitrous converter cars are still a tenth off.

Matt Smith holds the blown record at 3.55@212 with a clutch.

Kalid Al-Balooshi holds the nitrous record at 3.77@199 with a clutch.


But seriously I hope they got the data they needed. Its going to be tough to even qualify with anything not starting with a 3.
 
Your post only breeds criticism of your friend. I wasnt going to say anything at all, but since you provoked it, he is about 3 tenths off if he wants to be more than a one hit wonder in comp with a bogus index. And no, I wont build one and come on over to the ADRL, because that would be much much more difficult than running 6.20 and being the man in comp.

just Kidding Charlie. It just goes to show how important qualifying placement is. Rampy is a very SMART racer!!
 
i cant believe you guys are being poor sports about this. he did not win, he didn't beat up your class, he just beat you. i bet if he were a regular in comp with a new car, you would say damn he is fast. fyi he was only on 3 systems. he just wanted to get down every run.
