E-Town Bloodbath

Wow Indeed

that first round was.............interesting
perfect lights......70 +under, 60+ in both lanes, even a few red lights!!!
And a perfect light @ 71 under whilst opponent is 48 ish and .2 on the tree.
WOW......thank goodness it wasn't a mine shaft huh??
Second round best not be too early in the morning or more bloodshed to the indexes!!!
Let 'em Eat!!!!

Blood Bath in N.J.

10 indexes for first round. Second round might get down right nasty. Can I get Zane or Rampy for a dollar, you can have the rest of the field.

Round 2

Round 2 matchups:
Qual vs penalty in ()

Allen (-.78 under qual/.10 cic) vs Crimmins (-.65/.21)
A couple of Supercharged cars here. Allen definitely has the advantage because one would think Crimmins is pretty used up with the quickest pass in aa/am history. Allen needs to take minimal stripe, bc he is in danger of perm hit, not to mention the possibililty of Martel being clean in r3.

Armstrong (-.67/.13) vs Martel (-.63/ZERO)
Big time advantage Martel here...off the qual sheet, but just how fast can the man from Canada go in that L/AA? That thing went crazy fast in Atco. It's still Martel's round to lose, but how much is it going to take to get around Armstrong. A relatively clean win here should give him a leg up to the final.

Stanfield (-.59/.10) vs. Deceglie (-.64/.13)
Both of these cars got pretty dirty in round 1. I'd have to give the nod to Deceglie here....he's probably got more left in the tank than Stanfield. Does Stanfield being on the edge of a perm hit influence how far he takes it? Think Vinnie is thinking the same??

S. Biondo (-.67/.08) vs Miskovisky (-.50/ZERO)
Miskovisky is clean, but is still a huge underdog here to Biondo. Biondo with a lot in the tank and a great stripe driver should get by with a .53 under win

Other side of the ladder

Hord (-.71/.13) vs. Zane (-.65/ZERO)
Pretty big spread on indexes here, so could be ugly. Zane still a big fav, but barring a redlight, it's going to take some index to turn the winlight on.

Treadwell (-.67/.15) vs. Greco (-.63/.11)
Hard to call this one even on paper. Will be won at the tree.

Schonberger (-.59/.11) vs. Smith (-.64/.09)
Definite advantage to Smith. Cleaner and appears to have more in the tank. How willing is Schonberger to eat up more index to take the win? Smith may be able to hang a wheel and win a double dumper.

Rampy (-.65/ZERO) vs. Rossi (-.60/.04)
Yikes, Rambo is clean. Rossi still relatively clean will need to get a jump off the line and hang it all out to hold off Rampy. Rampy will probably have to take a 7 to 10 hit to take the win if it isn't over at the tree.

Projected round 3
Allen vs. Martel
Deceglie vs. Biondo
Zane vs. Treadwell
Smith vs. Rampy

Projected round 4
Martel vs Biondo
Zane vs. Rampy

Projected round 5
Martel vs Zane

Winner: Martel

Will, get out your dollar. I'll give you Martel and the field against Zane and Rampy.

Greg

It certainly does appear to be an interesting race! I'm picking Zane to win it all!!! But what else would I say. He's gonna double up in SS also. Driving two cars and neither one has a whole engine.....

Just like any other Comp race, you are going to need some help from your opponents and from your opponents opponents.......

Bb/am

I believe that David Allen in BB/AM is only the 2nd car to ever run this class. Before now it was Jirka Kaplan's own personal class. Impressive 1st runs for a newcomer in a high-tech, high HP, hard to make good runs, class. Now the index is another factor that makes the class attractive.....looks to be in for a little adjustment this weekend and more to come when Jirka comes out with his new car. We hear Brad and "the Boss" (Davenport) have been up to no good on the dyno with yet another new combo that makes a bunch more HP. Comp Eliminator....there are no boundaries, even at -78 under you still need a lot of luck to win and you get to hit your index either way.

Shame, Shame!!!

I'm looking more at driver performance, reaction times, MOV, etc. At least one car could definitely benefit from a set of rear view mirrors! Ouch, don't hit me, don't hurt me, pain, suffering, . . .

The NHRA doesn't have to change or play with the rules to lower indexes. All they have to do is race at E-Town!

Will, I like your narration.

And everyone says that the Div. 4 guys have all the fast tracks. Shame Shame!!!!

At 214 mph he definetly drove it out the back door.....with a perfect light yet. Hard to understand the need for a 92' win stripe, especially when you are the fastest class and you are always chasing. Imagine what a guy like Rampy would do with a combo like that......

Rampy

You know Steve, as much of a jive suggestion this is , if Rampy was to consider it, nothing but good would come out of that. There's probably more deals get done on a whim than the long planned ones.

round 2

Allen (-.78 under qual/.10 cic) vs Crimmins (-.65/.21)
Crimmins goes red Allen takes a clean win...scary.

Armstrong (-.67/.13) vs Martel (-.63/ZERO)
Must have jinxed Martel with my pick, he redlights his chances away...Armstrong stays clean.

Stanfield (-.59/.10) vs. Deceglie (-.64/.13)
Deceglie will make Baseball Tonight's "Touch Em All" segment with 'I'm not a player I just crush alot' .54 under win to take a .17 cic into round 3.

S. Biondo (-.67/.08) vs Miskovisky (-.50/ZERO)
Miskovisky goes red, Biondo stays clean into round 3

Other side of the ladder

Hord (-.71/.13) vs. Zane (-.65/ZERO)
Hord Red bulbs, Zane still has zero cic for the event.

Treadwell (-.67/.15) vs. Greco (-.63/.11)
Was a close one as we called it, Treadwell takes .03 more cic, but what the hell, they're free on Monday after .05 in round one.

Schonberger (-.59/.11) vs. Smith (-.64/.09)
Smith goes red, Schonberger advances...could be the sleeper pick.

Rampy (-.65/ZERO) vs. Rossi (-.60/.04)
Rambo draws another red bulb, keeps zero cic going into r3. Ever heard the saying you make your own luck?

R3 matchups:

Allen vs. Armstrong
Barring a redlight, gonna be an ugly big cic win for either...Allen with the performance edge, but does he have the consistency down to run in the .70 under zone again?

Deceglie vs. Biondo
Deceglie is real ugly and Biondo is relatively clean. Big advantage Biondo

Other side

Zane vs. Treadwell
Zane's race to lose as he is clean and Treadwell is ridin' .15 dirty.

Schonberger vs. Rampy
Definite advantage Rampy if all stays green.

No way. I'm a big fan of David Rampy, but he will never get to the final through Zane without taking permanent index, which he won't do. Zane has proven he is willing to eat index if necessary. Zane over Biondo in the final.

If Treadwell cuts a "good" lite its all over for Rampy cuz Treadwell WILL take a permanent index hit whereas Rampy wom't- Whoever has the most guts is going to win this one cuz most of these guys only run locally not across the country like a lot of other racers do -My opionion Comp 387

OK
Gonna let u in to a little secret to winnin!!!!!!
ya got a fast car go to slow tracks........
so simple....
but so hard to grasp for sendrome!
racers

Dick, Treadwell has maybe .02 left and Rampy is clean. No way does Rampy take any perm next round unless he goes .090 on the tree and that's not happening.

Steve, You have 6 races claimed to Rampy's four. Remember the cream always rises to the top.
