How can you put a Big Block Head on a Pontiac 4cyl

In the Dec. 2 2005 issue of National Dragster it printed that Al Ackerman built a 4 cyl Pontiac Iron Duke with a Big Block Chevy Splayed valve head. The bore cylinders are not the same on a big block as they are on the 4 cyl. I know you can use a small block head. How could you use a different bore center head on this block?

I think it was a misprint in the Dragster. I'm almost positive that Al uses an SBC head on his Pontiac.. Dave Ring would know for sure or Sherman Sligh..

Al Ackerman uses the 4 cyl KRP Pontiac Super Duty block and a SBC splayed valve head by HRD........ some people are trying the BB pro stock style head on a 4 cyl block, but deck grafting and NHRA approval is needed.......... unless you do the billet block thing $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
