Does anyone know who the first Comp car to go 200 Mph? Also who ran the first 6 second pass?
I believe John Lingenfelter first in 6s In A/ED
I believe Johnny Gray first over 200 mph.
What was Johnny Gray driving?
johnny gray 200 A/D
I'm not sure if it was the first, but I was working with Rich Bourke on his A/ED, when he went 6.98 at an E-Town race.. it was back in the early 90s.. can't remember the exact date, but do remember his brother, Glenn, about 3 feet off the ground...

You sure it wasn't Ingersoll in the turbo V6 Buick?
Johnny Gray, no doubt
Looks like Lingenfelter ran a 6 in 1986 and Gray went 200 in 1993.
Johnny Gray.. Warren Johnson loaned him the clutch and set up that enabled that run to happen. If i remember correctly he had to give it back after that run..
Tom Hanner,A/D, set the first "offical" 200 MPH Comp Record in October 1996 at Houston Points Race with 1% back up.
Jonny Grey ran the 200 at a National Event, no 1% back up.
Grey also wrecked the A/D index on that run with the WJ tune up.
Bob Rossi 130 A/A
