    comp index penalty

    No penalty after .10? Lou's total was .27 beyond .500 under.Is it'05 for .61 to.69, the.05 for .71 to.77? Expect that car will run with B/A and B/AA on 7.64.

    Index updates

Almost like snitching on somebody in public school when you phone the index change in on sunday afternoon. NHRA probably not going to miss it Monday, albeit PST.

can someone explain how Bruno could lower the index when none of his runs were .600 under? I have to admit I'm new to the CIC.

    cumulative

let's say your index is 8.00

round one you go 7.45 (-.55)

so now your round 2 index is 7.95

round two you go 7.39 (-.56)

Now you have went -.61 under your original index, earning a permanent .01 hit in the process. the .61 under to hit the index permanent is from the class index prior to any competition CIC hits.

If you're not good at math like me, when viewing the DRC round data, I look at the e.t. that was ran, compare that to the qualifying time shown, then add/subtract the difference to determine if a run was a permanent hit.
