So this year we had a .68 under car. Next year our car will be .78 under. How does this help the .25 under guy?

-.710 under is a 01 hit for the class.A new “Personal Index” is being added to the CIC system, to decrease the potential for class index adjustments when favorable conditions at an event may contribute to extraordinary performances that may not be the case in other parts of the country. The personal index will be applied when an individual records a .610 under or greater run during eliminations. The class index will only be adjusted when a run of .710 or greater is recorded during eliminations. Both will be adjusted on .01 increments with no plateaus up to a .10 maximum adjustment per event to a class index.

So is the temporary hit at .510 under now .610 under? Or is .510 under temporary and .610 is a permanent hit on personal index only and you have to go .710 under to make a permanent class hit. Just trying to understand, 2016 will be our 1st year in comp and it has been a steep learning curve so far.

My belief is new rule is this

".510 under temporary and .610 is a permanent hit on personal index only and you have to go .710 under original class index to make a permanent class hit"

also, they are adding .10 to all indexes.

Good luck and have fun with your new project.
