Tell me one guy that doesn’t get excited and grin when someone hits their index. Oh wait the one guy is the guy who did it. Everyone else in comp is happy! Pretty simple.

Am I the only person that thinks it’s ironic that basically the same people that wanted comp changed a few years ago are the same people that want it changed back now? You’re getting off Rodgers topic and back to personal index stuff. You run it you own it. Right Vinnie?
    That being said
    Yes
    Yes
    No
    Don’t care

Personal Indexes. When it was presented to comp racers the purpose was to get slower cars out there. It did for a little while.

Then, Comp racers, being very intelligent, figured out, just switch drivers and get a tenth back on the same car. Multicar Teams also able to switch drivers to another car and both get a tenth back.

The only solution I see to this is driver uses up personal index, driver never gets personal index in any other car.
or do away with personal index altoghther.

As I look back on the push for personal indexes, some of the racers pushing for it were multi car teams.

Rodger, I think you need to clarify
when you say permanent CIC, I believe you mean permanent index. CIC is never permanent. in that case I'm going with

4 Indifferent on this one. I understand the logic, I just don’t like the added odds, as slim as they may be, of an incident in qualifying taking out both cars. I’m thinking of the Houghtaling incident in Virginia and how it can be different with the handicap in place.

Edit to add. I’m not opposed to the original idea of adding personal based on races attended.

#3 No (Im gonna assume this means basically there is no temporary race-only index adjustments.... your first hit at .51 is permanent on Monday)

#4 Comp qualifying makes no sense to have heads up qualifying as the last car to leave, with the quicker ET crossing the stripe, will be the first car off the track. Talk about spectators emptying stands.

    1) No
    2) No
    3) Yea sure - what the hell
    4) No - absolutely no reason to have 2 cars sometimes 50-60 mph difference side by side at the finish line during qualifying...

If your post count is higher than your pass count then.. well... never mind.

lol..I'm was a TS racer until I fell in love with comp... my ex RJ mmps Raceca,r built for Moser eng., with a BRT drive unit and manual lever shifted 3 spd Lenco, think the paying public wants to see racing to the stripe..it takes no longer to run a 9 sec racecar then my 210 mph to the stripe once staged so it keeps qualifying times to a minimum but lets fans enjoy watching a 6 second racecar at the stripe
