After talking to many racers, it appears that poor scheduling lead to the poor turnout, not only in comp, but all around at the Sportsnationals.

The Indy Divisional was not originally scheduled for that weekend, but was rescheduled to that weekend. Undoubtably, we lost some racers there.

Scheduling the event the week prior to the Dallas Div. 4 event appears to have kept many of the Dallas area racers at home to run their home race.

    Whats your thoughts?

Scheduling + High gas prices ($3.00 & up) + Lower payouts than a regular National = Low turn out

I believe high fuel prices are going to keep many racers much closer to home. We cancelled due to both the high cost of travel & Indy being resheduled. I think in the future if NHRA wants a higher car count at these races they should make sure there are no other races scheduled on that weekend.

Hell pretty soon it will be cheaper for me to run C-12 in my tow vehicle.
