I'm just curious as to everyone's thoughts on this, fire away!
Ted May BB/AT
Rick Hord BB/A
George Gallimore A/A
Brian Browell D/D
David Rampy C/DA
Clint Sallee B/D (even though I've never scene his car in person)
Larry Pritchett A/SM
Bob Book A/D
Thanks for the reminder!
My Thunderbird but back when Hurley owned it. Back then it was so different and everywhere we went people were just floored by how fast it was..
My other vote goes for IGOR...That car is so impressive because they stuck with a combo that gave them fits for years and it has finally paid off with being one of the fastest comp cars around. Also,Brandon Huhtala's Cutlass is a car that truely was bad ass... He did so much with that car with a shoestring budget and very little help.
Isn't he the guy that wrote the "Book" on carburetors?
The Wayne County Sullivan & Hutchens / Larry Kopp/ Todd Paterson A/G Opel.
Jirka Kaplin's BB/AM T roadster was my favorite
It had a 280 cu. in. motor that made about 1350 HP on methanol.
It made so much noise I could barely hear my A/ND motor running when I was racing him in the other lane.
It was also super fast for the class, at the time.
Any of the high winding, small cube stick cars, Tim Freeman had a very pretty Olds i saw in Bristol around 92 at an IHRA meet running modified i think but pretty sure it was also NHRA comp car, maybe a C or D altered?
Danny Townsend's Bantam!
Of course "ALL" of my customers are equal and "THE BEST"!
And "ALL" comp racers are the "BEST" in racing too, for sure!
But the Book's Hot Rod is BAD A$$! A family operation, self made engine builder and carb "Guru", definitely one of my all time favorites!
(original paint job, need to update my site)
Jaw droped when Jerry Haas rolled out the 1st of many. 63 Corvette A\A,
fast too. Started a trend with that one.
Rick Hord has had some of the most Beautiful and Bad ass Hot Rods ive seen.
Dave Sobczak's (sp), Ford powered A/D. That car was wicked fast in it's day !
Frank Mazi's BB/A Opel. I remember seeing that car run in person when I as a little kid and thought it was the coolest car! I also remember seeing Dan Nicholson's AA/A Corvette run at Indy one year. That was another neat car. Tom Snyder's Pappy's Pride A/A. Man, there are a ton of them.
Ditto that one Szupka on both. Mazi's car was worth the price of admission to watch it run.
The Opel that Charlie own's,,, until they fixed it!
I have always loved the street roadsters, Vinnies has been bad to the bone for a long time, as a A/SR and B/SR. Bruno's car must be appreciated for the complexity and cutting edge technoligy it deserves.
Our olds B/EA car in the mid 90's...Any of Vinny's cars
Jim Oddy's BB/A Fiat
Danny Towsend A/A Fiat or Bantam
Baines Baines & Nimo Fiat E/A
I always loved watching Bob Rossi"s A/A, that car was way cool.
WOW can I agree?
Terry Sinke's B/A Fiat
Don Burn's A/D
Dan Parker's A/D
