Over the last several years we've all watched the participation in Comp Eliminator slowly decline.
There are several factors that contributed to this.
From the rising cost, low payouts and options to participate in other racing organizations.
Hopefully we can renew interest, increase participation and revive the BUZZ Comp had just a few years ago.

The $150,000 will be sponsored by and distributed through my manufacturing company, RBR Machine. (rbrmachine.com) The $150K will be divided between the six D4 Events, $25,000 per race.

In order to justify this program and to continue it for years to come, I’m asking all of you to reach out to your contacts and see if any of them need the services offered at RBR Machine.
Our customer base is very diversified: Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Automotive, Medical, Agricultural and Petrochemical.
From the smallest of fittings, down hole reamers, rocket engine nozzles, to defense missile parts.
For prototypes to production parts its RBR Machine!

I want everyone’s input on how to structure the payouts.
Here’s what I’m thinking:

$10,000 Winner
$ 5,000 Runner Up
$ 3,000 Semis
$ 3,000 Semis
$ 1,000 Quarter Finalist
$ 1,000 Quarter Finalist
$ 1,000 Quarter Finalist
$ 1,000 Quarter Finalist

BONUS: Depending on how many new customers are generated from the program,
I’m considering paying $50,000 to the Competition Eliminator Champion at Indy.

Post your thoughts here so everyone can have input.
Thanks!

Rodger, that's bad ass.

$8000 / Win
$4000 / Runner Up
$2500 / Semis
$1000 / 1/4's
$500 / 1/8's

That $500 could go a long way to some 2nd round runner ups, just a thought. Any way you look at it all positive no matter how you break it down.

Wow! That is awesome. Wish we could travel there now! THANK YOU for giving back to a great class.

I also agree with Alan's payout structure. Would really help some people.

I think this is an awesome idea for an awesome class. I am more than happy to promote your business Rodger so that the plan works. I have many clients I deal with on a daily basis that could possibly use your company.

My wish is that we could have something like this that can be nationwide so all divisions benefit. Imagine what would happen if we could get all of the bonus funds from the other divisions to be one huge bonus fund. It would help make Comp even more appealing.

Rodger's way for 16 car field , Alan's way for 16+ cars . I cant imagine this would not entice more cars to come out and out of division teams to come to division 4. Thank you Rodger, you always did know how to make things exciting !

I dont see why it couldn't but we have to wait and see how the D4 program works out.
It could be really big or it could fizzle out. I know there's a lot of excitement right now but who knows how its going to be in a month or 2. Sort of like hiring a new employee. Sometimes they'll start out gangbusters then fade to complacency. Time will tell.

At No Problem in 4 weeks, I was predicting 11 cars. Now with this in place who knows. At the double in Dallas last year we had 23 cars. I will predict a full field for the first time in a long time.

Thanks Roger, we do appreciate it.

I think this is a great payout format with 1 side note, if there are any bye run's say only 7 total quaterfinalists, that $1,000 should go to the winner, same as if a bye in semis, that $3,000 should got to winner.

I like it top heavy payout since Comp is a performance class.

Comp payout at a National Event $11,000 total

Winner = 2000
Runner up = 1500
4th rd = 750 x2
3rd rd 600 x4
2nd rd 450 x8

I would suggest keeping it that same format, but double it, and then you can use the rest and place it at the top. I think the car count will raise if round money goes up not just a top heavy format. I even like what D3 does, pays $100 for 1st rd looser. Either way it will be an awesome payout.

Most of the suggestions think money needs to be paid all the way through the 32 spot or last qualifier.
What does everyone think of this suggestion?
16 x 250 = 4000
8 x 500 = 4000
4 x 750 = 3000
2 x 1500 = 3000
1 x 3500 = 3500
1 x 7500 = 7500
Check my numbers.
I’m sitting on my golf cart in Phoenix drinking a beer.
It may not add up.
