60mm cam plug

Where can I find a 2 43/64" expansion plug for the back of the block for 60mm roller cam bearings? final bore ID is 2.670"
 
We use a 2.5 in freeze plug this is for 55mm roller.
we made one for 60 mm roller could not find one

That's been my problem. I can't find one either and you would think that as many 60mm roller cam bearing as there are out there that someone has come up with a plug.

I don't want to sound like a smart ass but you could make one out of aluminum with an "O" ring in about 20 minutes. Get a round piece of stock 3" diameter and turn down to 2.669" say .225" width. Now step back .060" from the machined end and cut an "O" ring groove .062" wide and .050" deep for a 1/16" "O" ring. Now take a cut off tool and move back up on the 3" portion and move back a .100" plus the width of the cut off tool and part off. You now have a plug with a flange. Drill a .1065" (#36 drill) hole in the flange staying away from the 2.669" section. Stick the completed plug with a flange in the back of the block. Rotate the hole in the flange to where it misses any obstruction and drill through the hole into the block about .250" deep with the same drill and tap 6/32" going easy not to break the tap. Now take the flanged plug and redrill the hole to 5/32". You get a 1/16" "O" ring and put in the groove, put a little grease on it and shove it in the block and tighten the little 6/32" screw (1/4" long) and you now have a rear cam plug. Nice thing about this type is you can take out and clean the block and rear roller cam bearing. You can thank me later....

I thought about that Ray, I was just looking for the easiest way out I guess. Thanks for the info and no you don't sound like a smart ass. More like you should build them and sell em' if you have a supply of 3" round stock. Thanks
