So sorry for your loss. Although we did not know Charlie, we have always enjoyed talking with Joey and Jamey at the races. We always enjoyed Charlie's posts and insight on insidecomp.
We're going to miss talking to Charlie at the track and cutting up with him. He was a good guy and we already missed him this past weekend. Our thoughts and prayers are with the boys and the rest of the family.
Every year, I would look forward to seeing Charlie at Indy; he was a good racer, and a great human being and patriot. My prayers, and those of my wife, go out to Joey, Jeremy, and Jamie. RIP my friend.
To the Tanksley's clan, I was shocked by this news because I thought this last episode was just a bump in Charlie's life, not the end of it. The races will not be the same without him. But his legacy is not Comp Eliminator, it is his sons that he raised to be good people.
ps Now it will take ten new young comp compassions to equal Charlie's. It will take awhile but he will help out.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the whole Tanksley family. Mr. Tanksley seemed like a great guy and passionate racer. I was really hoping to meet him in Belle Rose someday.
