I know several people are assembling names and writing a letter to NHRA to add Topeka. Might be worth you doing the same for Houston. Maybe Craig B. can help get something done. Blows my mind Comp is not at every national, but what do I know.

My suggestion is send letters to Glendora and the track operators. Do not waste your time talking to the division directors. They do not have any say on where comp runs. Let the tracks know you will show up and race. They have more say then what we think. The more letters that we can send the better.

No Comp at Epping??.. and the alcohol classes don't run at the BEST D1 tracks either??.. It's painfully apparent that there are NO racers pushing the pencils.. TIME FOR A CHANGE!!!... maybe a seerious discussion with another entity... IMAGINE THAT!!

I was just wondering! Does anyone believe that negativity and pessimism tend to create trends of the same?
Would it be great to have Comp at more national events? YES but wouldn't it suck to have Comp at less?
I choose optimism...Comp is contested at all the same national events as last year so WE DIDNT LOSE ANY!!!! The fact is that it easily could have been justified, just take a look at the entries at each event.
Would it be great to maybe alternate a couple each year? YES but there are many other factors that come into play that we are not aware of because we don't run the business of NHRA.
The Comp SRAC has put forward a huge effort into encouraging participation in 2017 and beyond and I think we are starting to see it increase now. If we have any chance of getting a change it will be by having the numbers for at least a year or two or three.
My suggestion is to get on your keyboards and phones and get some people excited to come out and race Comp with us. Don't send NHRA letters about why they should make changes that you think are needed because they suit you or your ideals.
SHOW THEM!!!

Frank, I believe that I am one of the ones that get on here and try to stop negativity. I also could give a fuck if you have any national event wherever the hell you live. Should Houston have a national event? Probably not. Attendance is poor. But I would like a race close enough that if I were to win the race I could drive all night and make it to work Monday morning. I don't see that is negative in any way.

There is a trend on here. Negative people get on here and be negative. Smartasses get on here and be a smart Ass. And you get on here and talk in circles. And I am like you, I wish negative people would shut the hell up. And I wish people that didn't have a car would shut the hell up because they are the majority of the negative people

I do give a f--- if you have Houston to go to. I feel Comp should be at all national events. I believe that when we have good participation in Comp we will be able to get some back. What you see as talking in circles I have no idea but I hope this clears it up.

I was just messing with ya frank. I know you didn't direct yor other post towards my post. I wish comp raced at all national event but see why WE are not. I just hope that in The future it rotates of gets a few races close to home. My thing is I don't really care about points (but others do) I just want to win a national event and need more than one chance a year (been as I am a no driving fuck)

Comp should be at EVERY National Event.. there is no excuse for it not to be.. you guys can get all touchie feelie on here, and throw veiled barbs all you want.. you want more participation??.. come up with something inviting, and not MORE expensive.. there should have been a fight when NHRA started dropping classes from races.. it's BS.. why??.. because the Pro teams come in with 6 or 7 rigs, and they need room??.. just more BS.. and it doesn't matter that we didn't lose any races over last year, cause the point is that we shouldn't have lost any races, EVER.. could be one of the reasons people are not coming out.. seems to be affecting Clark..

I'm not sure if anyone has really paid attention to the Comp pits lately, cause that is where the future is.. how many young people do you see??.. not many.. a lot of older guys out there, with no replacements in sight.. negative??.. maybe, but true..

People, like me, love Comp, and are always around to help, watch, whatever, but know we can't afford to get into the class.. so there has to be a better way to help grow the class, than what's been going on..

And yes, I'm a negative person, and it's my Constitutional Right to be so.. but if we're all going to be mamsy-pamsie snowflakes, we'll just melt away... you need the negative side to keep you awake...

Do most of you guys really like going to national events? If I wanted to get pissed on I'll go downtown Indy and fall asleep under a bridge and it won't cost me anything...haha.

Yes I do. Do I want to go to 24 of them. No, but I enjoy seeing and talking to friends and race for a few more dollar then a points race. If we had Houston, I could screw with Clark one more weekend.
