Since I'm not a NHRA member I'm not even going to try to access any of the info I'm asking about.
Can anyone show what MONEY the Comp field came home with in their pocket.
Not money for stickers, Money by rounds, W & RU that NHRA paid.

It seems unless you are getting significant sponsorship, using it as an advertisement for your own business, or have money to burn running a Comp car is not such a hot investment.

Mark,
As a guy that only has equipment that might go .50 under I can see that, too. In the past there was qualifying money and round money all the way down. A guy could go and race and cover a part of his expenses. Yea, get lucky first round and get a red light or someone that broke on the run and your payback might cover the expense for the fun.
I only got one answer to my question and it really didn't tell me how little money was really paid to such a short field. I'm of the opinion that the round money and the qualifying money is what is keeping guys with limited budget away. The current payout structure is not favorable to me. I can race locally and come out better.
