REASONS FOR NOT COMING TO INDY

I am just curious as to why a lot of comp racers are not coming to Indy. I have talked to a couple, of course Harvey is a big reason. But I just wondered if you would want to come on and say why. Maybe:

No qualifying money
Too much work at home
Family issues
Personal index
Too many races in a row
Or whatever your reason is.

Please, I would only like to hear from those that have been racing other races this year, but are not attending Indy.

For me personally, it has a lot to do with our schedule here in D1 and ultimately the time away from work. 4 Division races in 7 weeks, with Indy in between all of that. Then Reading 3 weeks after Indy.

Only reason I think about going is our badass parking spot!!! Miss you Browells.
And like I said before no Topeka to break up the trip on the way up there.

Brian, I asked for responses from people currently racing to see why they have attended other races but chose to skip Indy. That is the only reason you don't qualify to answer this question.

I don't think Harvey is it at all. Last year we only had three people from Texas and this year one of them came back. So if we lost from Harvey it was 2 people . We had 51 cars last year so yes this is a big concern ,but lets keep making up reasons why our numbers keep going down. Here's a question , has anyone figured out what the average age of the comp racer is ? Not to much new blood. Going and racing at the NMCA race I also figured out we are not really treated that well . I know I wont be back next year if things don't change. 10.5 here I come . I get to go as fast as I can, take the stripe,and don't get screwed.

Quite honestly I wasn't ready and part of that was no incentive to really run, especially Indy cause I would have to do Indy & Bowling Green for it to make sense. And to go for all of those days.just didn't interest me this year.
