Strange vs Mark williams spool

[C/AA 35H1]

On 40 spline spools (3.81 bearing) 9", are the splines in the same spot between the two spools? I am looking to swap to a m/w unit and want to make sure i dont need to swap to m/w axles, i currently have strange axles.
