what kind of speed are the turbo and procharged guys turning their engines nowadays? I know the Pro-stock and the mid size small block comp guys are up in the upper stratosphere but do the power adders require such RPM also?

You know that is a good question . The new gen racers won`t tell nothing they are as bad as P/S racers . I have a pretty good ear for rpm sounds real high like about 10,000 rpm .

We spun ours to 8600 but we had very small heads that would not flow enough to spin it higher. I know some of the guys run 9500-9600...

400 ci SBC on gas was 8400 rpm heads were AJPE splayed valve billets flowed 420 cfm@ .800 same motor twins on alky it liked 9400 it went 182 mph in the 1/8 @ 2650
