This car was originally built for Mike Edwards as a GTO in 2007. This was Mike’s last GTO in which he put limited runs on before he took delivery of his first GXP and sidelined this car. . We purchased the car and ran C/A and E/A in Comp Eliminator. The car was involved in an accident in 2010 and was repaired by Deewayne Custer of East Texas Racecars. At the time of repair the GTO body was replaced with a GXP. We also put all new lexan, new brakes, paint (chassis & body), and freshened up anything else that didn’t look new. The car came out of the shop looking better than ever and went right back to performing the way it always had. This car has been #1 qualifier or right at the top for the majority of the events it’s been to. Additionally, it has been in the winner’s circle at Divisional and National events. I don’t believe you could build a brand new car that could out perform this one by much if any.
