main cap walk

what causes main cap walk ? 3 center caps on my GM 184 block seem to be moving around by evidence of rough cap surfaces on block registers, crank is fine ,bearings also dyno time only.any help would be helpful. 3.48 Calles magnum,5.65 rod MGP 4.060 bore BRC,8600rpm

Is your crank an 8 counter weight or the traditional 6 counterweight type?

Too little main cap torque?

You need an 8 counterweight crank to help with this issue.
