Congratulations to Terry for his first National Record. He ran a 6.61 in A/AP at Mission last weekend. Since NHRA does not have the equipment to pump a motor as big as his, he had to remove a head and then put it back together too. Quite an accomplishment especially on a rain shortened weekend when it is just Terry and his wife handling all the duties. All your hard work has really paid off.

Nice change of direction from last year , Terry , no full runs under power as I recall (with the EFI motor) now set the record. Ya gotta like the bull headed attitude of Comp people , never for a second were you going to give up , congrat's , that's one bad hombre.

Thanks fella's, I was busier than a one armed paperhanger...lol..unlike others I couldn't get the racecar to 60'...no .990 only 1.014 I just found the track difficult to hook. Thanks to Chad Perkin wearing the headset and Todd Hoerner's nice job tuning of the EFI from Virginia. The motor is fresh but with a new fuel delivery system so it was a good starting point but should have another .10 in it. I was so exhausted it took me 2 days to recover after unloading everything in the shop sunday evening...lol..

A/ap

I second all the cudo's to you Terry, that car is one bad ass machine to watch leave the grid, it is so agressive on the launch I think it rotated the earth about 2 degrees when you let her fly , and yes the tear down is a bitch, they made Bob and I do both heads to check to make sure one side wasn't bigger than the other (I think), because probably the pumping device looked more a used hooka pipe than a pumping tool, in Vegas to boot. Awesome job no matter. C U soon.

Good job Terry....

It won't 60' until you paint that motor John Deere green........if it makes torque it must be a Deere:D.

Bruce, when they pulled that hooka box out at Boise I asked them if it had come over on the Mayflower. It seriously looked like it was fifty years old. The crack in the glass just tops it off.

wow..

nice job last weekend terry.it was both an honour and a privalige to be able to run against you. we have been paired up before in doorslammer, but in the comp ranks,a dream come true for me to have the opertunity to do this is unreal!when i looked at that thing without the head on i chuckled,my whole engine would fit in the valley of that thing:D.nice job on the record....awesome!!

Few years back we got Todd's 705 Hulk Motor we had alot of fun and Todd was just awesome with the tech support. We were ultra conservative on the tuneup and never leaned on the motor, but we had fun that was all that mattered.

Terry and crew, congrats again on your record.. Your hard work and diligence is paying off.. Hope to see you in Spokane

If I'm not wrong that was a Schmidt motor? I love the 3 g's of launch and yes Todd is a good guy...lol

Congrats Terry

It was fun watching you smile ear to ear when we crawled out of our hot rods at the "other end". Great job and well deserved.

yes that was back when he ran for Schmidt and congrats on that killer run. He ran some 6.70's with it and we ran a 6.99 @ 2430 lbs with a glide again we were worried about hurting it.

Spoke to Todd last week.

Yes, he's running ADRL tommorow. I feel terrible for Brandon as I'm sure I jinxed him when I went over to his pit and asked him how much of a permanent hit I get if I run .629 under in E1 and then said buddy you gotta lot to think about in ellimination cuz your so quick. Sorry I love this wonderful family..

You didn't screw me up Terry, it was my fault. We could have took the stripe against Adam but it would have meant 61 or 62 under. Not worth it. Congrats on your record, its cool to see you having so much fun with that beast. I know I am on the wrong thread but congrats to Jeff also on another great performance. Apparently he is going to keep making us all look bad, and he deserves it.

:D Congrats Terry and Pat, You deserve the record, you have been chasing it for awhile now. No better place than your back yard to set it You should of won the award for best food in the pit area too! Tell Pat thanks for feeding my Dad!

Chad, yes she does a great job with the meals but when we got back to the shop sunday evening and unloaded the motorhome she said "I don't know why I brought 30lbs of Potatoes"...I guess she was trying to fatten up the Perkin family....lol...lol ;)
