I’m sure most of you would agree that in the past couple of years the
ROOFTEC Comp Eliminator Bonus Fund has been a Huge Success.
That being said, Im challenging racers, team members, business owners, fans, past sponsors, potential sponsors and everyone else.

The Challenge is to get 25 or more sponsors for the 2024 Season.
25 Sponsors at $10,000.00 each
for a
Total of $250,000.00.

If this Challenge is met I will put up an additional $500,000.00.
That will give us a $750,000.00 Prize Fund for 2024.

What each Sponsor receives is worth so much more than the $10,000.00 and is greatly benefiting
(in my opinion) the most exciting and interesting class in NHRA Drag Racing.

I know it can be done but the Hudson's and I can't do it alone.

Now is the time for Competition Eliminator racers to leverage their manufacturer relationships to bring sponsors to the table. I don't even have a car in the class, nor do I drive a Comp car, but I have been steadily pursuing a few companies to kick in.

This is an excellent program for Comp Eliminator racing. The programs that Rodger have put together for this class have led to other divisions moving forward with their own. As a journalist, it excites me to see this groundswell of Comp excitement which became a personal favorite since Modified left in 1981.

This kind of program cannot sustain itself forever, and I think we all understand that. So, if we all bring just one sponsor to the table. Bliss, Ashton and Rodger have all the details on how to make it all happen - or if you happen to see me, I know the details and will be happy to share.

PLUS, if you have a car or engine, something to sell - post it here, and then QUARTERMILECLASSIFIEDS.com. QMC is also a CEBF sponsor. Support those who support your class.

Great news for comp. racers and all racing in general. I hope we can all pull together and make this happen as planned. Thanks again for your efforts Roger..

Howdy Folks!
A few things

First, if you have raced comp the last 3 years, y'all need to sponsor. I make all y'all look so cool on the internet and I love doing it but you gotta support the fund with more than just your stellar looks. You don't even have to have a company, just do it yourself. If you're racing you have a chance at winning back your own money so you won't even owe anything. And don't say anything about "oh I don't have the money" you're comp racers so I don't believe you

Next, go ask some of your friends to sponsor. I know you know people, all you gotta do is text and be like 'sup. And if you don't know people, then consider this practice for getting your own sponsors.

Lastly, you gotta support the sponsors. Like for real. Go buy some soap, go eat some Lupe when you're in town, buy some insurance from CCR, order an engine from Southwest Performance, buy Owen Corning shingles and tell 'em Rodger sent you, like and share the posts on Facebook???? It literally takes 8 seconds, some of y'all get down the track slower than it would take to support the sponsors, just saying.

I love all of y'all and I love this fund but I'm McFreaking tired and we need some help, so step up.

Hi all y’all to the North, South, East and West! Still getting used to the summer heat here in Texas after relocating from Ohio to be near the majority of the Family.

Not on here much but wanted to say Hi to all the Friends back in D3 and miss racing back there a lot! I have gained new friendship down here also and glad to be able to race mostly Spring and late Summer/Fall.

I just wanted to express my gratitude to Rodger Brogdon, the Hudson Family, Bobby Bennett and his crew including video specialist Les Mayhew and announcer Chris Monaghan for providing us a very competitive Comp Bonus Fund and publicity to help not only me but everyone else in the Comp Class. Also thanks to Mady, our D4 Director and husband Matt for the coordination of events. I know there had been some adverse discussion by some last year but with the new changes in the schedule for 2024, hopefully, it will help involve more support and growth in the Midwest. I understood some of the discussions due to the cost and time of some not being able to travel near the D4 area. I would not have been able to attend from Ohio. Now having included Indy, St. Louis, the double at Kansas City and Vegas to the West, hopefully with the increased purse and (2) Comp Clash Bonus Races we will see more cars attend from all Divisions, especially D3, D5. There were already (16) states represented last year and cars from almost each Division.

As Rodger’s post says: This program is only going to work and grow if you, we, us, get more involved to support it.
Everyone who reads this is capable of coming up with an Associate Sponsor
for the best class in NHRA Drag Racing.
Let's all work together to keep it going!

Best thing that has been laid out is that it will not affect the racers of D3, D4 or D5 for any of their Divisional races. D1, D6 and D7 it affects only one each, although D2 it does affect three by the online NHRA schedule.

I can tell you, it has been great fun and a lot of competition but with the great help of the Hudson Family, they make the racers Comradery real! Found out at Indy they are Friends with the Jerry Arnold Family from D3! Congratulations to Chase Williams for his #1 Finish and Don Thomas for the Cash Clash Win, both great competitors and Families!

I know this year will likely be the most competitive ever but that’s why we all do this, TO WIN and to see all of our Friends! With this kind of money made available by Rodger putting up not only his money but a lot of time to set up all the phases of this Fund, come join us and please add to the Bonus Fund by searching for Sponsors to complete the payout as listed for all of us!

Take care and with Respect!

Rick Brown

Theres almost 600 Licensed Competition Eliminator Racers.

Everything has gone silent in this post.. No news is not GOOD news, this program is probably the best thing to happen for sportsman racing in 25 years. If we can make this happen , it could take off and create other programs like this for all sportsman classes. Do not let this die on the vine. Chase the money and get it done... My opinion

I imagine that most of us are business people. Go to your suppliers and put pressure on them. I know all of my suppliers get X amount of Co-Op money during the year.
But a lot of it goes unused.
So ask. If you dont ask You'll never get anything. Dont be afraid of hearing NO.
I can promise you theres a YES in there somewhere.
But you have to go looking for it.

600 guys and gals might hold a license but only 200 attempted to qualify last year. Out of those 200, about 150 are active comp racers meaning they go and race and aren’t a pro mod or factory stock using a points race as testing.

Boooooo we gotta get em back to racing comp again
A lot of it is age… there’s more guys retiring from comp as they get older than new young blood coming in. If I was I lucky enough to be in rodgers shoes I’d have rooftec as the title sponsor of comp and have this payout be at the national championship level, you’d pull in so many racers from T/S T/D and SS to race for this money if they could concentrate more in their division plus I think it would be easier to pull in more sponsors. I believe it’s hard for a company say from here in Minnesota want to put money into a program that’s mainly in the south. Just my two cents, y’all are lucky to have Rodger in your backyard doing something like this. I for one do not have the money or resources to come play with y’all but maybe I’ll show up for one race like usual, I just hope I don’t get met with a “WTF are you doing down here” like I did in Tulsa

Who knows, the more sponsors we are able to get, the more money that would be in comp, and the bigger areas and bigger level we would be able to make it in future years! And I'm gonna make a big official post later but one thing we've always stood by is if you don't have the money or the means to race with us you can always support by liking/commenting/sharing my super amazing videos and content (which I do believe you've been featured in before, my friend, from your trip to Tulsa;)) Anyway, always good to hear all perspectives, and luckily for you we've added some races a bit closer to home (for you that is, they're quite a bit further from my home lol), hope to see you at some this year!

At this point I hope we're getting close to the acceptable threshold to make this series a reality and move forward!
I personally would like to Thank all the past years sponsors and especially the 2023 group that were part of the series in my first full year.
With this recent post by Mr. Willson, I will appreciate getting to know him and his company along with all the previous sponsors and new alike!
It will be great to see the new list when compiled. I and others have been trying our best to get a few signed up, THANK YOU!

Respectfully, Rick Brown
